Epilogue: What Came After - Rated M/R - by [livejournal.com profile] tersa

Finished work that's being doled out like candy. Yum!

I don't usually go for this type of fic (spoiler). )

Mud and Sand - no author rating, but it is on the kmeme so it's likely to be explicit at some point - (anonymous - DA kmeme author)

WIP, but what a work. Each word counts in this one, folks, and groundwork for detailed plot has been laid out.

If the author finishes continues and completes with the same style and exquisitely rich texture, I will rec it to the moon and back. I give it a Hot Damn.

*crossing my fingers the author finishes*

Sticky-ish

Fanfiction is a (obviously) huge past-time of mine. I simply can't say no to a good story.

I've read everything listed below and, having liked it, want to pass on the love.

If one of these stories belong to you, and you'd rather it not be here, just shoot me a line, or leave a comment. If one of my comments regarding your story upsets you, I'm happy to change it.

Happy reading!

Oh, this is different... in a very good way.

Told from Justice's first-person POV... brilliant idea, there.

Unjust - Corbie - E

Fear has become our Circle; anxiety our templar.

WIP

Cut The Rose - Arkady - M

WIP

Interesting start, only two chapters in, so tentatively tagging... looking forward to seeing more.
New author to me... very nice, clean work. Plus, you know... it's Fenris.

Suckerpunch- Inyri Ascending - T

&

Bound - M

I had time to peek at another story by the same author, looks like someone I need to follow.
FIVE TIMES ANDERS SAW GARRETT HAWKE SHIRTLESS AND ONE TIME HE TOOK INITIATIVE - spicyshimmy - M

This is so bittersweet and unexpected, it made me do the sad little, 'oh, that's good'.
I don't tag vignette-type fic. Except when I do.

Challenger
- mille libri - T-rated

This hurt to read. Going to go cry in the corner, now.

Seven kinds of awesome that I'm just now discovering...

Coffee, Black - black_ink_tide - M-rated

WIP

This is a very, very AU story with an interpretation of characters through a modern/real world lens. I'm not sure what a fic this AU is called. Uber-AU?

At any rate, it's excellent, compelling storytelling. I'm hooked, and can't wait for the next installment.
So... more slashy, smutty goodness from littleblackdog

What's extra nice about this is the smattering of details we get about Circle life. Very nice.

Windfall - (it's on the kmeme, folks, it's gonna be explicit)

More Sunday-afternoon reading...

The Mage and the Wolf - Phoenike - M

WIP.

The agony of star-crossed lovers is something - when done well - I love reading about. So far, this fits the bill. Since it's a WIP, I won't say more until it's finished, but loving what I have read.
Every once in a while, I stumble upon a writer's collective works and am rewarded with an overload of lovely, lovely reading.

A few posts back, I did a 'reading' post on 'Mud and Sand' which is a WIP on the DA kmeme. Well, after clicking a different fic elsewhere, I realized (after some brilliant deduction, namely links) this was the same author.

So, today's reading is all about spicyshimmy (links to AO3 page). All of these stories have the same stylization which I am having a devil of a time describing. I wanted to say 'robust', but no, that conjures up images of burliness, or something. Complex? Textured? Rich?

Typically, this many words for the amount of plot would have me passing... so, I think my enamorment (and blathering) should speak for itself.

The fics below are ones I've read and liked. They're set with the Anders' POV,  for which this writing style seems tailor-made. Anders having an extremely descriptive (and yes, self-involved) inner monologue when he's not Justified very much works for me.

Stories are listed as M on AO3. Probably the mom in me, but I want to mash them up to E. Take that as you will.

NOSTER NOSTRI

SECOND AS A FARCE

Rearranging the furniture, tidying things up  a bit and putting this here:

MUD AND SAND

And a sequel WIP, which has this reader boggling... and beginning to wonder if the author is secretly not human.

GODS OF ANTIVA

And, in a *how the hell did I miss this* sort of way, a WIP on the kmeme:

OMNIA OMNIBUS
Wowza. Remember, way back when, I rec'd Strangely Oriented Stars, by littleblackdog? Well, if you liked that story, the author has a lovely collection of DA2 stories all set in a single universe called, Snare.

littleblackdog has the rare gift of consistent storytelling. Pacing, plot, voice, spot-on characterization, and on and on. There are a handful of writers in all of the fandoms I frequent combined that fit this bill.

Even if it weren't for the explicit nature of these stories, I'd still rec them. Actually, I'd probably like them all the better if they weren't filled with lovely smutty goodness... if only because then a wider audience could enjoy them. They're that good.

(ending stalker-like swooning, now)

All are rated M on ff.net. If they were on AO3, I'd say they'd be E. Forewarned, and all that.

Snare

Rook (this is my favorite of the set)
